Camps and Workshops

Cora Waterhouse created her first milk jug mask in 1989. Teaching sculpture to children ages 5-14 at a summer Discovery Camp, Cora was challenged to also create costumes for the big Friday night show. The camp’s “Save the Rainforest” theme inspired her to look into her own recycling bin first for design materials. That summer those children proudly danced and sang in colorful tropical bird masks that they made themselves from milk jugs, bottle caps and paint. In twenty years Cora never tires of teaching these terrific masks and this personal message of eco-friendly art. Her designs are limitless. She has literally taught thousands of children and adults how to make milk jug masks at art festivals, Earth Day celebrations, creative arts camps, and continuing education workshops. It is a passion and a pleasure that she never tires of.
If you have an event that would be suitable for Cora to teach this clever, adaptable and eco-friendly project, please use the contact information below to talk about possibilities
